Hire For Work (HFW) is Blowtrumpet’s open community initiative — a growing network of engineers, designers, strategists, researchers and creators who are building the future of digital advertising together. Whether you are looking for your next role, exploring the ad-tech ecosystem, or connecting with like-minded professionals, HFW gives you direct access to hiring managers, HR teams and fellow candidates across the Blowtrumpet product family.
HFW is not gated behind our hiring needs. It is open to everyone — engineers and designers, founders and freelancers, students just starting out and veterans who have seen three industry cycles. The community exists for its members, not for our headcount.
What HFW is for
Upskilling through meaningful work. Real briefs, real constraints, and review from people who do this professionally — through apprenticeships, fellowships and internships rather than courses.
Exposing opportunity. Openings, programmes and projects surfaced in the places people already are, rather than buried in a careers portal.
Showcasing talent. Somewhere to show what you have built, to people who can act on it.
Open conversation. Students, early-career people, practitioners and companies in the same rooms, talking honestly about work, skills and what the next decade of this looks like.
Where it is work, it is paid, and the terms are agreed in writing before anybody starts.

Campus ambassadors — we are looking for people who run things
The campus groups are only as good as the person running them. We are appointing HFW Campus Ambassadors at each campus, and we are looking for people who take their own future seriously enough to do something about it before anybody asks them to.
You probably already: organise things on campus, formally or otherwise, and people turn up. Know who the good people in your year are, and can say why. Write a clear message and hold a room.
What you would do. Run your campus group and keep it genuinely verified — students and alumni of that campus only. Bring HFW onto your campus through sessions, workshops and project nights. Make sure opportunities reach the people who should see them, including the ones who never check. Find talent and vouch for it. And tell us the truth about what we are getting wrong.
What you get. First sight of apprenticeships, fellowships and internships, and a direct route into the Sprint Fellowship. Scheduled mentorship on your own work from people who do it professionally. A platform to write and speak. A certificate at the end of a completed term and a written reference describing what you actually did. Recognition in the community through keys, points and levels — which are non-financial, carry no monetary value, are not convertible to cash and are not transferable.
What it is not. An ambassadorship is a community role, not employment, and nothing about it is a condition of any application. Where we ask you to do work that is genuinely work, it is paid and agreed in writing first.
A few hours a week, honestly given. Open to enrolled students aged 18 and over, at any institution. If your campus has no group yet, starting one is a stronger application, not a weaker one.

All applicants are encouraged to submit a Statement of Purpose detailing their interest in advertising and technology, when they started programming or exploring the field, their 3–5 year career vision, and how this project fits into that picture.
Keeping the community safe
Early-career people are the least powerful group in any hiring conversation, so the rules are explicit. Opportunities are posted by HR and verified community managers only. Anything asking a member for money, for unpaid trial work of real value, or for personal documents outside a proper process is removed and reported. Harassment is escalated to staff rather than left to members to mediate. Nobody is pressured into a group, an application, or work during exams.
