Community guidelines

Communities thrive when people feel safe, respected and able to say what they think. Ours exists for communication, creativity, collaboration and growth — and to protect everyone in it, especially those with the least power in the room.

These guidelines apply across every Blowtrumpet platform, product, forum, research programme and communication channel — including the advertiser and affiliate communities on Ravaki, the creator and publisher communities on Tejaki, the developer community around Vedoki, and the business, research and events communities of State of Ads.

1. Our core values

Respect. Everyone is entitled to dignity, whatever their background, role or opinion. Creativity. Experimentation, originality and sharing are encouraged. Collaboration. We get further by exchanging feedback and supporting each other. Safety. Protecting members from emotional, digital and reputational harm comes first. Transparency. Honest, open communication is what makes any of this work.

2. What we encourage

Share knowledge and creative work generously. Respect cultural diversity and bring your own voice to it. Support newer members and quieter voices so they are heard. Give feedback that helps someone improve. Work across disciplines. Be kind when you disagree.

3. What is not allowed

Harassment and abuse — bullying, intimidation, personal attacks, shaming; hate speech or discriminatory remarks targeting race, ethnicity, gender, orientation, disability, religion or nationality; persistent unwanted contact.

Harmful content — slurs, obscenity, gratuitous violence or sexual content; promotion of self-harm, suicide, eating disorders or harmful substances; content designed to incite fear, hate or harassment.

Dishonesty and misuse — false information, impersonation or misrepresenting who you are; spam, scams, phishing or solicitation outside approved channels; misuse of Blowtrumpet products for malicious or exploitative purposes; manipulation of campaign delivery, engagement or earnings by any artificial means.

Privacy violations — sharing private or sensitive information about yourself or others without consent; unauthorised use of personal data or intellectual property.

4. Protecting those most at risk

Zero tolerance for bullying and harassment; reports are investigated promptly. AI-assisted moderation flags harmful content for human review. Dedicated moderators and escalation paths exist for urgent issues. Members can choose safer modes, including restricted content visibility and guided filters. Repeat offenders are suspended or permanently removed.

5. AI and human moderation

We moderate with both. AI tools detect harmful language, harassment and unsafe patterns at scale; human moderators review cases with context, sensitivity and fairness; and an appeals process exists so that neither is the last word on its own.

6. What we ask of you

Think before you post — is it constructive, kind and useful? Acknowledge views you disagree with without hostility. Report violations when you see them. Bring your own voice without bringing hostility with it. Help others grow.

7. Enforcement

Warning for minor first issues. Temporary suspension for repeat or moderate violations. Permanent removal for severe or repeated abuse, harassment or exploitation. Escalation to the authorities where there are threats, harassment or illegal activity.

8. Appeals

If you believe a moderation decision was wrong, appeal it. Appeals are reviewed by a human panel with AI-assisted context, and the outcome is documented and shared with you.

9. Co-creating this

These guidelines are not fixed. Members can propose new rules, tools and initiatives; we hold periodic open sessions to refine them; and feedback loops keep them current with technology, society and the people here.
