About the Role
The WordPress Fellowship is an entry-level program for candidates who understand the breadth and scale of WordPress and are eager to master content management, marketing workflows, and customer experience design.
You’ll start by working with page builders, content layouts, CTAs, and marketing extensions — while being mentored by senior developers.
Over time, you’ll grow into plugin handling, security management, and customer-facing site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage content publishing and page layouts on self-hosted WordPress.
- Work with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery) to create clean, responsive pages.
- Assist in setting up CTAs, landing pages, and marketing funnels.
- Support marketing in managing campaigns and optimizing web conversions.
- Learn to manage plugins, security updates, and backups.
- Gain exposure to extensions: e-commerce, LMS, CRM, HRMS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, content) to ensure brand consistency.
Eligibility & Must-Have Skills
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with WordPress (personal projects, internships, college work, or freelance).
- Understanding of self-hosted WordPress vs. WordPress.com.
- Familiarity with content management, CTAs, page builders, and basic plugins.
- Strong willingness to learn advanced extensions (e-commerce, LMS, CRM, HRMS).
- Passion for building customer-facing experiences with measurable impact.
Progression Path
- Fellowship → Senior Developer → Advanced Developer
Each stage reflects greater autonomy, system responsibility, and integration depth.
Entry-level candidates are expected to demonstrate awareness of WordPress’s scope as an ecosystem — powering content, commerce, HR, LMS, and CRM solutions at scale.
