About the Role

As a Senior WordPress Developer, you’ll work on building and managing customer-facing websites and micrositesthat support Blowtrumpet’s marketing and product communication needs.
This role is ideal for early-career developers with a solid foundation in WordPress, who want to grow into advanced plugin development and system-level integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage self-hosted WordPress websites using page builders (WPBakery, Visual Composer, Elementor).
• Create responsive, conversion-optimized layouts using blocks, elements, and reusable templates.
• Configure, secure, and update plugins, themes, and extensions (e-commerce, inventory management, LMS).
• Maintain site security, backups, SSL, and plugin update hygiene.
• Handle WooCommerce setups — SKUs, inventory, shipping, order management.
• Work with Git workflows for staging/production.
• Collaborate with content and marketing teams to deliver SEO-friendly pages with strong CTAs.
• Troubleshoot site issues, performance, and plugin conflicts.

Must-Have Skills

• 2+ years of experience with self-hosted WordPress.
• Proficiency in page builders: WPBakery, Visual Composer, Elementor.
• Knowledge of responsive design, theme customization, CSS/JS basics.
• Experience with WooCommerce: product catalogs, payments, inventory.
• Familiarity with Git and site version control.
• Understanding of security best practices in WordPress.
